We sell premium 316 grade stainless steel lead free tapware.
We are transitioning our brass products to be constructed with lead free brass before the 1 May 2026 deadline, in line with the National Construction Code (NCC), which specifies that lead free tapware will become mandatory at the point of installation in Australia.

Lead free kitchen taps provide a source of safe drinking water. Their rust-resistant and anti-corrosion properties ensure their suitability for indoor and outdoor settings.
Our durable lead free tapware is constructed from premium 316 grade stainless steel and comprises minimal mixers, wall-mounted spouts, and handle kits.
The National Construction Code (NCC) specifies that from 1 May 2026, lead free tapware will become mandatory at the point of installation in Australia. Clause A5G4 of NCC 2022 Volume Three (Plumbing Code of Australia) specifies that copper alloy plumbing products in contact with drinking water must limit the allowable lead content to a weighted average of no more than 0.25%.
The industry has been allowed three years to make this transition due to the extensive work involved for manufacturers and suppliers. We have already begun this transition, with some of our Sola Stainless Steel range available as a lead free alternative to our brass products. We are actively focused on expanding this range and are in the process of transitioning our brass products to be constructed with lead free brass before the required date.

Yes, lead is a key ingredient for brass tapware. However, our brass has very low lead content and contains less than half the Australian standard.

Do your products contain lead?
Some of our stainless steel products are entirely lead-free. Additionally, our solid brass range is watermark certified to meet AU/NZ requirements, ensuring they adhere to the lead content limit of below 4.5%. This certification involves initial testing and subsequent yearly audits to maintain compliance.
