INSIDE RENOWNED BUILDER BEN MARLOANE’S BARN-INSPIRED ESCAPE
Nestled in the quaint streetscape of Bangalow, just a whistle away from Byron, is Ben Marloane’s recently built Barn-Esque escape, designed and constructed by the phenomenal Marloane Building Co.
Adorned with ABI Interiors Brushed Nickel tapware, the beautifully designed home embraces natural daylight and a strong earthy, colour palette bringing to life a lustrous contemporary, architectural home.
A seasoned industry professional, Ben has operated his building company for over ten years creating some of the finest properties from the Southern Gold Coast to Northern Rivers. Now based in beautiful Byron Bay, we have seen Ben take on the likes of Shelley Craft and her Pacifico Cottage.
“As a builder, the greatest thing for me is seeing it all come together in the end, especially when it’s your place,” Ben says.
Each room executing refined order and artistic geometry, we see Ben’s artistic eye to detail from the spiral staircase to the spacious alfresco area.
The fusion of design and construction has been carefully considered throughout the entire home to enhance the relationship between the build and its environment.
“We decided to do a new build in Bangalow as it was a cost-effective location and allowed us to design the entire space and build how we wanted,” Ben says.
“Barn living was a massive inspiration for this home.
“We had built sheds in the past, and we loved the aesthetic of big open spaces and high ceilings – so creating this style of space was putting our company stamp on something.”
